Die Detroit Red Wings aus der NHL haben den schwedischen Verteidiger Jonathan Ericsson für weitere sechs Jahre an sich gebunden.

Damit steht der 29-Jährige bis 2020 beim elfmaligen Stanley-Cup-Sieger unter Vertrag.

Laut Medienberichten zahlen die Red Wings 25,5 Millionen Dollar (etwa 18,8 Millionen Euro).
