Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said LB Deone Bucannon will start camp tomorrow on PUP. He also said LB Jarvis Jones tweaked his quad during today's conditioning test. Arians wasn't sure how severe Jones' injury is, adding Jones may miss a couple of days.

Two Cardinals were injured during the first day of practice on Saturday. Cornerbacks Ellie Bouka underwent an MRI for his ankle and Jumal Rolle had an MRI for his hamstring. Neither were on the field as practice began Sunday. "Obviously it'll be a big blow to their chances if they can't (go)," coach Bruce Arians said.
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians on second-round pick S Budda Baker, who took the field for the first time Saturday since rookie minicamp back in May because he had to miss OTAs and minicamp due to NFL rules on products of colleges in the quarter system: "He looks like a damn rookie."

Today's Cardinals training camp round-up: Rookie report: Third-round pick Chad Williams had a few impressive catches, leading the way for the rookies on Monday. First-round pick Haason Reddick stood out in coverage against David Johnson. Reddick lined up as a defensive back both out wide and in the slot and didn't allow a pass to be completed against him. Undrafted rookie Trevor Knight struggled at times Monday. He had short, makeable passes bounce a yard short from their intended receiver.

#AZCardinals CB Justin Bethel, who didn't practice today, was wearing a small brace/sleeve on his knee as he walked to locker room.
Rookie report at camp: First-round pick Haason Reddick found out what it's like to cover the best running back in the league. He was paired up with David Johnson during a running back-linebacker passing drill. Reddick needed all the luck he could find. On one play, Johnson pulled off his patented side-step move and juked past Reddick. On another, Johnson gave Reddick a shoulder fake at the line of scrimmage and Reddick couldn't recover.
After watching his team in three padded practices, coach Bruce Arians has been impressed with guard Dorian Johnson, linebacker Scooby Wright, safety Ironhead Gallon, safety Budda Baker, tackle Will Holden and defensive tackle Xavier Williams.

San Fransico 49ers:
28.07.2017
Niners free safety Jimmie Ward was placed on the physically unable to perform list Friday after he sustained a strained hamstring during a conditioning test Thursday shortly after the players reported to training camp.
Wards timeline for recovery is week-to-week, according to a team spokesman. He can be activated from the PUP at any time to start practicing. Players who begin the regular season on the PUP cant play for the first six weeks of the season.
Per John Lynch, the #49ers have signed first-round pick Solomon Thomas.

Arik Armstead (275 pounds) said he lost 10-15 pounds to play "Leo" position. Lightest he's been since junior year of high school.
The padded practice claimed one victim. Strong safety Eric Reid came up hobbling with what appeared to be an ankle issue after the second play of team periods. He limped off the field, tried to come back but eventually left for good. The injury did not appear to be a long-term one, but it left the team with its starting safeties since free safety Jimmie Ward already was out with a hamstring pull. (Kyle Shanahan said the hope is that Ward is back the week the 49ers scrimmage with Denver prior to their Aug. 19 preseason game).

Injury report: With starters Jimmie Ward and Eric Reid already sidelined with leg injuries, Jaquiski Tartt, who is No. 3 on the depth chart, left practice walking gingerly and favoring his left side after breaking up a pass.
Shanahan has said Ward (hamstring) could be sidelined until mid-August, but Reid (ankle) figures to return sooner. A day after leaving practice early, Reid was walking without a limp Monday.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said the issue was ribs-type stuff and acknowledged the 49ers might need to sign a safety to help them get through training camp.
The 49ers signed wide receivers Louis Murphy and Tim Patrick and waived wide receiver BJ Johnson (hamstring) and linebacker Jimmie Gilbert (torn ACL), undrafted rookies who were injured during training camp.
Seattle Seahawks:
28.07.2017
Seahawks are signing former Eagles first-round pick Marcus Smith, per source. Smith cleared waivers Thursday.

Malik McDowell injured in accident, absent from camp. Pete Carroll unsure of when Seahawks rookie will return.
Asked if there's a possibility that Malik McDowell doesn't play this year, Pete Carroll said, "We'll see. I don't know that."
Tyler Lockett, DeShawn Shead and Dion Jordan are among the Seahawks not practicing on the first day of camp. Pete Carroll said previously that they won't rush Lockett (leg) but think he'll be ready for Week 1. Shead is not expected to be ready for the start of the season. Jordan will be fighting for a roster spot when he gets healthy.
