It all comes down to this. After six months of grinding out a 162-game schedule and two rounds of playoffs, only two teams are left standing in the 2017 MLB season.

When is the 2017 World Series?

The 2017 World Series will start Tuesday, Oct. 24.

Who is playing in the 2017 World Series?

The 2017 World Series is between the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers. It's a seven-game series to crown the Major League Baseball world champion.

The Dodgers had the best record in all of baseball this season, winning 104 games. The Astros were almost as good, finishing with 101 regular-season wins. It should be a good series, as both teams feature strong pitching and potent offenses.

The Dodgers will try for their first championship since 1988. This will be the Astros' second appearance in the World Series. They last appeared in the Fall Classic in 2005.

Most games are scheduled to started just after 8 p.m. EST in the U.S., or just after 2 a.m. in Germany.

Who has home-field advantage in the 2017 World Series?

In recent years, the league that won the All-Star Game was awarded home-field advantage in the World Series. This year, however, the team with the better record during the regular season is awarded home-field advantage. That's the Dodgers, who will host Games 1 and 2, and Games 6 and 7 if necessary.
